Hello everyone.

I was recently dismayed to find that the game's installer no longer installs the version of DirectX required to run the game. A Windows update is likely to blame, though at what point this became an issue I'm not sure. I suspect that most, if not all, players have been greeted with something to the effect of "Fatal Error - DirectX compile error" upon launching the game.

The version of GameMaker: Studio that the game was built in is no longer supported, so recompiling the game would probably have no effect (also I'm not 100% sure where I put the project files; it's been awhile).  Luckily, Microsoft maintains downloads for legacy DirectX versions. This runtime installer should fix the issue.

The game's homepage has been updated with the solution. You can once more assault the Strasbourg sewers in search of misplaced musical instruments.
